Step-by-Step Admission Process

Step 1: DDCET Exam Registration

Register for DDCET during your 6th semester of diploma

6th Semester
Complete online registration on ACPC portal
Upload the following documents:
• Diploma final year/all semester marksheets (PDF)
• SSLC/10th marks card for date of birth verification
• Recent passport size photograph & signature
• Valid government ID (Aadhaar/PAN/Voter ID)
• Study/Conduct Certificate from institution
Category-wise documents:
• SC/ST: Caste certificate + Income certificate (recent)
• OBC (2A/2B/3A/3B): Caste & Income certificate (within 1 year)
• EWS: EWS certificate as per latest government format
• PWD: Disability certificate from District Medical Board
• Hyderabad-Karnataka (HK): 371(j) eligibility certificate
• Defense/Ex-servicemen: Valid supporting certificate
Pay examination fees & download admit card after verification
Step 2: Appear for DDCET Exam

Take the DDCET examination to qualify for degree admission

Exam Day
Arrive at the exam center at least 30 minutes early
Carry the following items:
Printed admit card (mandatory)
Valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar/Voter ID/Driving License)
Black or blue ballpoint pen (for OMR sheet)
Transparent water bottle (optional)
DDCET is an OMR-based offline exam (not computer-based)
Follow all instructions mentioned on the admit card and OMR sheet
The exam includes subjects from your diploma curriculum
Results are generally announced within 3–4 weeks
Step 3: Merit List Preparation

ACPC prepares the merit list purely based on DDCET scores

Post Results
Merit list is prepared only on the basis of DDCET exam marks
Diploma semester marks are not considered at all
There is a single combined merit list for all categories (no separate category-wise lists)
Your DDCET secured marks and overall merit rank are published
Provisional merit list is released first for verification
Final merit list is declared after resolving any discrepancies
Step 4: ACPC Counseling Process

Participate in online counseling for college and branch admission through ACPC

Counseling Period
Fill ACPC counseling registration form (most details auto-filled from DDCET)
Upload necessary documents: category certificate (if any), latest marksheet, birth certificate
Pay ₹350 registration fee to complete the process
Participate in Mock Round to get an idea of college allotment based on your rank
Choice filling for preferred colleges and branches
Actual Round 1 allotment — admission is confirmed if seat is accepted
If not satisfied, proceed to Round 2 and Round 3
Visit allotted college for final admission confirmation
Step 5: Final Admission

Report to the allotted college to confirm admission and start your degree journey

Academic Year Start
Visit the allotted college physically for final admission confirmation
Submit required documents: DDCET result, allotment letter, diploma marksheets, transfer/leaving certificate, category certificate (if applicable), passport-size photos, etc.
Pay college-specific admission fees (differs for Government and Private institutes)
Complete admission formalities and receive your student ID
Attend orientation (if any) and begin regular classes

Important Information

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have completed a diploma in engineering from a recognized institute
  • Minimum 45% aggregate marks in diploma (40% for reserved categories)
  • Must appear for DDCET during the 6th semester of diploma
  • Diploma must be fully completed without any active backlogs at the time of admission
  • If a backlog appears after the DDCET exam and before admission, the admission may be cancelled
